Verification

Done - is Done

After the work has been completed, there will need to be some checks performed to ensure the expected outcomes are achieved. This, of course, requires that the expected outcomes have been clearly identified.

Early on in the process while work is being completed, or in some cases before the work has been started, it should be identified as to how the task should be verified that it has been completed correctly. For each expected outcome, a set of steps should be added on how that verification can take place. Let’s take an example of a simple login form for NuvIoT.

  1. Go to https://www.nuviot.com

  2. Enter your email address

  3. Enter your correct password

  4. Press Login

  5. You should enter the web site

The above steps are called the Verification Steps and can be added to an expected outcome.

After the Verification Steps have been added, they can be used in a Verification Run.

To create a Verification Run, simply go to the Verification Run tab, click add, then perform each step. Once you complete the steps, there are three options:
Pass - The step completed as expected. Failed - You could not complete the step. Inconclusive - You couldn’t determine if the step succeeded or failed, more information may be needed.

For each step you can add some notes. Additionally, for some steps in may make sense to get a screen capture and upload that as part of the step to show that it succeeded or it failed.

Finally, once you have completed all the steps, you can press the “Complete” button.
