Bio

Ms. York received her Bachelors degree from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, majoring in business management and minoring in economics. She began her technical career while going to school and credits that experience with keeping her grounded in the real world. Starting out as Tech Support and going into Technical Training and then on to management roles she was able to quickly move through the corporate ranks and became known for her common sense and down to earth approach to business, people and life.

She has many years of experience field training world-wide, developing training materials and managing global sales and systems training. After retiring from corporate life in 2000, York started her own successful business providing services to pet owners throughout Pinellas County. In 2015, Ms. York became seriously ill with Myeloma - an uncurable blood cancer - causing her to close her business and focus on staying alive. After 5 years of relentless efforts by York and a team of doctors - she is in remission and back to work!

While not working York enjoys making art, gardening, bird watching, good movies and hiking on shady trails. She loves animals and supports both “Adopt Don’t Shop”, and the Spay and Neuter efforts in the Community Cats programs.

She shares her home with a devoted and supportive husband, a crazy little Jack Russell terrier, a sweet little Rat Terrier Mix and a affectionate community cat she calls Billy.
